Login accounts for Black Pearl RTM

Following the installation of the K2 [blackpearl] components, the next step is to run the “configuration” utility.   This is where the details for user name, website, ports, etc are established.

I’ve been working on a VM, and wanted to set the “App.Pool” and “Service” accounts to be local (service) accounts – but it appears the config tool requires them (all) to be “domain accounts”.

I was able to enter my own personal user account (domain account) – and the configurator tool just continued on.

Solution

  • Enter your personal user (domain) account
  • Re-configure the service accounts later – after completion / re-boot

AppPool (IIS)

AppPool Security

Services (K2 Host)

Service Account
